We are investigating how best to re-establish indigenous wild flowers to Highleadon Green.

A member of the HGA committee is leading on this, liaising with local seed specialists and local community members to understand how best to achieve a natural result.

Two areas of the common have been "set aside" and planted with a suitable mix of seed to introduce wild flowers. One a triangular shaped area at the B4215 junction and a rectangular area behind the noticeboard opposite the junction to Park Road.

These areas will enable us to understand how best to ensure that the flowers can be established and maintained in a way that compliments the common in a natural way.

We are told not to expect too much in the first year so we need to be patient.
