The HGA sought financial support from a number of sources but the most significant funding that has enabled the clearance of the common to achieve the amenity established today, including a foot path come woodland walk along the verge of the B4215 to the petrol station have been achieved as a result of a grant from the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust.

Other funds from HGA membership, district council, parish council and local residents have enabled the maintenance of the cleared area. Teams of local residents have also given up many hours to strim and clear rubbish to maintain the amenity that this work has achieved.
